Description

We are looking for a motivated intern (m/f/d) to develop an interactive XR app using Xcode/Swift. The application will provide a step-by-step assembly guide for a brick-based robot, where components and assembly steps are visualized in an XR environment. Additionally, a Bluetooth control function will be integrated, allowing direct control of the robot via the app.

For a realistic representation, the individual components need to be modeled, animated, and optimized in Blenderbefore being integrated into the XR app.


Tasks

3D Modeling and Animation (Blender)

  • Recreate the brick-based robot components for the app
  • Create and export animations to visualize the assembly process interactively

XR Development with Swift/Xcode

  • Implement an interactive assembly guide in an XR environment
  • Visualize model components and control animations

Bluetooth Connectivity

  • Connect the robot via Bluetooth for app-based control
  • Read and display sensor data in real time within the XR app

Requirements

  • Experience with Swift/Xcode or the willingness to learn
  • Basic knowledge of 3D modeling and animation (Blender)
  • Interest in XR technologies and interactive user interfaces
  • Previous experience with Bluetooth communication is an advantage
  • Currently, you will need your own Mac, as the computer lab is awaiting updates
