To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated student assistant (HiWi) in the field of Analog/Mixed-Signal Chip Design.

Background
High-performance circuits are required in high-speed data transmission paths to ensure low energy consumption even at high data rates.
As part of this project, a large number of analog signals are to be captured and then transmitted in a bundled digital data stream to a downstream computing unit.
The development of this transmission path is already being successfully advanced by a team at LITES. To support the existing team, we are looking for a motivated student assistant.

Your tasks:

  • Supporting the development and realization of circuits from schematic to finished layout
  • Assisting with layout design and optimization
  • Applying and implementing knowledge from lectures in practical projects

Your profile:

We are looking for a (late Bachelor’s or) early Master’s student with the following qualifications:

  • Interest and motivation to work in the field of chip design
  • Desire to gain practical experience in chip design
  • Basic knowledge in circuit design and IC layout or PCB layout (e.g., with Cadence/Altium)
  • Ability to transfer theoretical knowledge into practice
  • Experience in programming with C/Python is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently

We offer:

  • Flexible working hours to accommodate your studies
  • Working with state-of-the-art process nodes
  • Comprehensive practical experience in chip design
  • Entry opportunities into an exciting and future-oriented field
  • Participation in innovative and hands-on projects

This HiWi position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in chip design and be directly involved in research.

If you are interested, please send us your CV, a current transcript of records, and a short letter of motivation.
