This work is particularly suitable as a FP.
Description
As a first step, a comprehensive literature review will be conducted on various designs of leaky wave antennas in the D-band and their potential applications in a radar system will be identified.
Subsequently, one or two of the implementation options examined will be simulated on a ceramic substrate.
Research Questions
- How does a leaky wave antenna work, and what are the typical characteristics of this type of antenna?
- What are the advantages and disadvantages of this antenna design for a radar system?
- What are the different implementation approaches, and which ones are particularly well-suited for implementation on a ceramic interposer?
Objectives of the thesis
Simulation-based design, analysis, and optimization of an antenna in CST
Work packages
