
EELISA Summer School: of 6G-Enabled Healthcare Systems
Did you know that 6G networks have today big impact to revolutionize healthcare infrastructure? 6G networks can significantly enhance resilience, energy efficiency, security, and accessibility, especially in crisis times such as pandemics, natural disasters, or energy shortages.
In this context, the EELISA Summer School 2026 on “6G-Enabled Healthcare Systems” is designed to train the next generation of researchers and innovators to connect 6G communication technologies for building resilient, secure, and sustainable healthcare systems.
The programme combines six preparatory online sessions with a three-days in-presence workshop, hosted by Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen–Nürnberg (FAU).
The Summer School brings together many leading European universities contributing an interactive online and in-presence modules. This interdisciplinary initiative fosters collaboration among academia, industry, civil society, and students, creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
Academic and Research Impact

Expected outcomes include high-quality educational materials and seed projects for future joint proposals, particularly within Horizon Europe. Inter-institutional mentoring will further promote long-term research collaborations and joint supervision opportunities.
Financial Support
A limited number of participants will receive financial support through the Joint Call 6 project.
Enrollment conditions:
The course is intended for students who meet the following minimum requirements: – Students should have completed at least the 4th semester of a Bachelor’s program or equivalent foundation courses in relevant disciplines (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Medical Technology, Data Science, …). – Good command of English, minimum level B2.
